Terms of Use

DeckForge — last updated 9 September 2026

The short version: DeckForge is a card scanner, collection tracker and deck builder for Magic: The Gathering. Your card lists are yours. The free version is free; DeckForge Plus is an optional subscription you can cancel at any time through the store you bought it from. Use it kindly and it is yours to use.

Who we are

DeckForge is made by JKP Software Inc (“we”), trading as The DeckForge, a ChaosDraft project. These terms cover the DeckForge website at decks.chaosdraft.com, the DeckForge app for Android and the DeckForge app for iPhone and iPad (together, “DeckForge”). By using DeckForge you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

What DeckForge is

DeckForge recognises Magic: The Gathering cards with your phone's camera, keeps a record of the cards you own, shows market prices, and helps you build decks. Card names, sets and images come from public Scryfall data; prices come from public sources. They are provided for information only. Recognition and prices can be wrong, and you should check anything that matters before you buy, sell or trade on it.

Magic: The Gathering and its card names and images are the property of Wizards of the Coast LLC. DeckForge is not made, endorsed or supported by Wizards of the Coast, Scryfall, Apple or Google.

Your account

The apps work without an account. If you create one on the website, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 to use DeckForge.

Your cards and your data

The card lists, decks and notes you put into DeckForge are yours. You give us permission to store them and move them between your devices so DeckForge can do its job, and nothing more. How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. You can delete cards, collections or your whole account at any time.

DeckForge Plus

DeckForge Plus is an optional subscription that lifts the limits of the free version: unlimited collections and cards, sync across your phones and the website, longer price history, and 30 Brewmaster deck builds a month. Scanning is free for everyone and is not part of Plus.

If you got the iPhone or iPad app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to that copy of the app. Where the two disagree about the App Store copy, Apple's terms win.

The free version

The free version has limits, currently 2 collections, 3,500 cards and 2 Brewmaster builds a month. We may change these limits, and what Plus includes, as DeckForge grows. If we ever reduce what your paid plan includes we will tell you first, and you can cancel.

Fair use

Please do not:

Availability and changes

We work hard to keep DeckForge up, but it is provided as it is, without promises that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or retire features, and we will try to give notice of anything significant in the app. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of DeckForge, including decisions made on the strength of a card recognition or a price. Nothing in these terms removes rights the law gives you as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without affecting any consumer protections that apply where you live.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change we will update the date at the top, and for anything significant we will say so in the app or by email.
